Five Things to Consider Before Turning to Astrology

People often turn to astrology when times get tough. They try to seek answers to the problems in their life, and with the right mindset, they can leave with a clearer head and a path to follow. Here are some of the things a person should keep in mind before they turn to astrology for assessments, fortune-telling, and future predictions:

It’s Not Black and White

It’s Not Black and White

Do not consider what you study in astrology as definite. It’s not as simple as a bad omen or a good omen–everything has meaning in tandem with one another. Just like the world is interconnected, so are different aspects of astrology. The good can’t exist without the bad, so review things in light of this yin-yang philosophy.

Students and astrology enthusiasts keep forgetting the basic fundamentals of astrology as they gain more and more knowledge about the subject. Always remember that some things matter more than others, and the basic principles of astrology trump everything that follows. This means there is no need to obsess over newly-discovered information and when you observe things from afar, everything will fall into place.

Each person has their own perception and will speak their own truth. You should also own your truth and take others’ opinions about astrological happenings with a grain of salt. If something doesn’t sit right and in accordance with your knowledge, then express your opinion with logical arguments, and learn to coexist with each others’ truths. Astrology is, after all, an attempt at understanding our world together.

Each sign, planet, house, and element has some defining traits, but you can’t just put them in a box and be done with it. There are layers to the science of Astrology, and planets, transits, and houses play a crucial role in bringing about changes to the most rigid of stars. Astrology talks about probabilities and possibilities–it’s an open-ended subject and so, you shouldn’t limit yourself too.

People often turn to astrology to calm down and feel more in control. But if you think that your anxiety has multiplied after studying astrology, then perhaps it’s time to take a break. It is quite similar to Googling the symptoms of your illness and coming up with something truly horrific.

Chances are, it’s your anxiety running wild, and instead of facilitating you with more knowledge, Astrology is, in fact, making matters worse.
